Congregational Care groups exist to promote the well-being of the community through demographically oriented ministry action. This is accomplished through Bible studies, life group discussions, fellowship events, and community service projects. Meetings take place the fourth 4th Saturday of each Month at Mt Olive.
The purpose of this ministry is to show love, build trusting and mutually beneficial family and societal relationships, and serve our community. The ministry meets monthly on the fourth 4th Saturday. All activities are open to all women. You need not be a member of Mt Olive to share in this ministry. First Friends Ministry - This ministry assists those who are new to the Mt. Olive community to become acclimated to their new church home and family. They walk with new members during their first six months of membership.
First Friends share information to help new disciples to identify their spiritual gifts and become involved in the ministry and to answer any questions or concerns they may have. Couples Ministry - Seeks to empower married or engaged couples to build and maintain strong healthy marriages and relationships.
The ministry utilizes topical discussions and special social outings to give couples the necessary resources and tools to have God-honoring relationships. Elderlites Senior Ministry - This ministry seeks to provide spiritual enrichment, to give information and resources which enhance the life experiences of seniors and which safeguards them from predatory practices.
This is done while offering opportunities for fellowship with other seniors. The ministry offers a series of talks with emphasis on health and community issues of interest to seniors, social outings, and annual appreciation recognitions. This is accomplished through collaboration with ministries to initiate new projects and enhance those that have been part of our past ministry plans. Using a week course of sessions, participants are led by a trained facilitator through a series of video presentations and group discussions to help them to process their grief and sense of loss with the support of other members of that community.
